Lane County Recycles 53%

Sanipac thanks you for cooperating with us in making this another successful year for recycling! Recently, both the Eugene City Manager, Jon Ruiz and the Springfield City Manager, Gino Grimaldi were congratulated by the State of Oregon’s Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ) for meeting their “Opportunity to Recycle” requirements for their respective cities.

We're Carrying Away The Leaves

This is the time of year when the yard cart goes into full swing with the collection of leaves and garden castaways. Seasonal vegetation such as pumpkins, wreaths and cut up Christmas trees without flocking or decorations may be included.
•Anything that grows above the ground
•Close the lid
•Every other week All Year Round!

Building a Mountain

When you put out your trash, do you ever thinkabout where it goes? Here in Lane County, most of our municipal trash is transported to the Short Mountain Landfill, located 8 miles south of Eugene along I-5. Our local “mountain” of trash is currently 160 feet tall and spans over 90 acres.
