Is It Sustainable?
Sustainability means achieving the triple bottom line: healthy environment, healthy community and healthy economy. Right in our area, organizations making the extra effort to follow sustainable practices include Golden Temple, BRING Recycling, Royal Caribbean and St. Vincent DePaul. Slocum Center for Orthopedics and Sports Medicine, EWEB, Euro-Asian/
autohaus and Isler CPA, among others, have been honored with Eugene’s “Mayor’s Bold Steps Award” for their efforts.
Commercial Recycling Basics
Please remember: We cannot accept Styrofoam™-like material, clothing or biomedical waste. For ways to recycle these items, visit our website or call us. Your recycling may be picked up on a different day and at a different time than when your garbage is collected. If possible, your recycling containers should be located less than 25 feet from the street or parking lot. If you have surplus containers, please call us to remove them.
