Trash, Garbage, Rubbish

With all of the recycling we do, we are often asked, "What goes in the trash cart?" Trash is anything that can't be recycled in the commingle recycling, glass recycling, yard debris cart, or anything that can't be recycled in another manner.

Some examples are: broken glass, plastic containers that have held pesticides, food contaminated items, napkins, tissues, paper plates, diapers, food waste, pet waste, plastic wrap, bags, or packaging.

Items that can NOT go in the trash: Syringes, medical waste, wet paint, chunks of concrete, non-alkaline batteries, and other hazardous materials and chemicals.
